Macaw’s Cloud Engineers form a close group of professionals who work together in a down-to-earth setting to realize the best Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure. We work for (international) customers and support them in building and improving the stability, availability and security of their Microsoft Azure Cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

As a Cloud Engineer you participate in setting up, monitoring, managing and supporting the Microsoft Azure Cloud based IaaS and PaaS environments. You will do this together with your team, consisting of a group of 30 Engineers, Consultants and Architects.
You will emerge as the go-to person for one of our customers and become the right hand of the Service Delivery Manager as the first point of contact for your customer. Of course you can develop yourself further within Macaw, growing into a specialist in the field of Azure Architecture, Azure Networking, Cloud Security or Azure DevOps. This way you can optimally continue your career as Azure Architect or Technical Consultant, hold assessments and workshops and advise clients.

Requirements

· At least 4 years of relevant work experience as System Engineer and/or Cloud Engineer
· Experience with ITIL
· Knowledge of AI, Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Bicep, CI/CD, Networking, security, IAM, CAF, WAF and ARM
· It is an advantage if you have experience with SCOM
· You hold the Microsoft Fundamentals certifications (AZ-900, MS-900 or AZ-104) or are willing to obtain them after starting on the team.

Salary Range
We recognize the value you bring, which is why we offer a competitive salary of €3500 – 4500 gross, with the final offer tailored to reflect your experience and qualifications.

Step 1

Getting to know you

We would like to get to know you! After you have indicated your interest to us, you will be called by one of our Recruiters. We will tell you more about Macaw, have a genuine interest in you and will be happy to answer your first questions.

Step 2

The first conversation

Unlike what you might be used to at other companies, we like to connect you directly with the people who truly understand the role. Instead of a trip to the office, we’ll set up a relaxed video call- no need to dress up, just bring your favorite drink. You’ll chat with one or two team members from the department you’re applying to. They’re happy to share what their day looks like and just as eager to learn what motivates you. Approachable, inspiring, and informative - that’s the kind of conversation we aim for!

Step 3

The second conversation

Hooray, you have come so far that a follow-up has been scheduled. We will carefully select two new interviewees you will often have to deal with in your job. This could be a direct colleague and someone from management. At the end of the interview, you will know for sure: I want to work at Macaw!

Step 4

An assessment

Depending on the position and your ambitions, we will schedule an assessment. Good to know is that we do not use this assessment as a selection tool, but as a development tool! We do not judge you on it, but rather look at where we, as a potential employee, can support you in your development.

The offer
